Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities
- Perform hands-on prototyping and testing to validate design concepts and product solutions. Own the design process from initial concept through production and deployment.
- Create CAD designs and drawings; use PDM / PLM systems to release parts and track engineering changes.
- Build and maintain Bill of Materials (BOMs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and other manufacturing documentation.
- Support hardware builds to ensure smooth product launches.
- Manage suppliers to ensure quality standards are met and assist in resolving production issues.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product and sales teams to deliver customer-oriented solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience launching hardware products from prototyping to mass production. Proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred) with best practices for part design, configuration management, and working with large assemblies.
- Experience designing and owning architectures, sub-assemblies, and components in robotics, automotive, or mobility applications.
- Extensive experience using low-volume prototyping techniques (e.g., vacuum forming, urethane casting, rotomolding, self-fixturing sheet metal) to create functional and cosmetic parts.
- Proven track record of sourcing suppliers via RFQs and building relationships to ensure high-quality components and on-time delivery.
- Strong team player with a problem-solving mindset and a commitment to helping the team succeed.
- Based in China (city negotiable, preference for Guangdong Province). Willingness to travel frequently.
- Intermediate English proficiency (written and spoken); ability to collaborate effectively with native-speaking engineering teams.
