NPI Engineer
A Multinational Robotics Company
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain NPI stage-gate and mass production readiness checklists, defining inputs, outputs, owners, and exit criteria for EVT, DVT, PVT, and mass production phases.
- Coordinate production transfer documentation, ensuring completeness, consistency, and proper version control.
- Lead Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Testability (DFT) reviews, as well as NPI readiness assessments.
- Develop and drive pilot run Build Plans; chair kick-off and wrap-up meetings; deliver risk assessment reports and pilot run summaries.
- Manage pilot issue logs, driving root cause analysis, corrective actions, verification results, and closure timelines.
- Oversee engineering change implementations, finalize process documentation, and facilitate formal handover to mass production.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of NPI or Manufacturing Engineering experience in robotics, consumer electronics, automotive electronics, automation equipment, or complex electromechanical products.
- Proven track record of participating in at least one full product lifecycle launch, from R&D prototypes and engineering validation through pilot runs to mass production ramp-up.
- Strong ability to identify cross-functional interface risks (mechanical, electronic, process, test, supply chain) and drive cross-departmental resolution.
- Excellent documentation, data analysis, planning, and on-site problem-solving skills; comfortable supporting suppliers / OEMs on location.
- Proficient in English with working-level proficiency.
