Optical Engineer

Responsibilities
- Decompose system specifications and evaluate design proposals based on engineering requirements.
- Lead the design, simulation modeling, and tolerance analysis of optical systems.
- Manage the selection of optical components, create technical drawings, and oversee optical fabrication and inspection processes.
- Develop system alignment and adjustment plans; collaborate with cross-functional teams to complete system integration, alignment, and testing.
- Develop optoelectronic measurement instruments and integrated systems.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or above in Optical Engineering, Optics / Optical Information Science, Precision Instruments, or a related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in optical design or optoelectronic product development, with at least one full lifecycle delivery experience (from design to mass production).
- Familiarity with Fizeau interferometer optical paths and microscope system architectures.
- Understanding of principles and technologies related to optical interferometric measurement instruments.
- Proficiency in at least one optical design software: Zemax or Code V.
- Proficiency in at least one stray light analysis software: LightTools or TracePro.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language: MATLAB.
- Strong technical communication and logical analytical skills; ability to independently read English literature and international standards; experience in cross-functional collaboration (mechanical, electronic, software).
