Optical Inspection Engineer

Responsibilities
- Lead the pre-research and development of optical systems (specifically Fourier Transform Spectrometers).
- Conduct principle verification through optical system simulation, stray light analysis, and other technical validations.
- Manage the selection and procurement coordination for optical components.
- Define specific technical requirements; guide and review system design proposals from opto-mechanical engineers, providing constructive feedback.
- Analyze and resolve optical path issues related to optical modules during product development and mass production.
- Perform testing and validation of optical systems, and generate relevant technical reports.
- Facilitate technical communication with optical suppliers and develop a high-quality supply chain for optical accessories.
- Stay abreast of cutting-edge industry technologies and provide feasibility recommendations for the development direction of solid-state infrared spectroscopy detection.
- Handle other ad-hoc tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Optical Design or a related field, with 2+ years of professional experience.
- Proficiency in optical analysis software such as LightTools, Zemax, TracePro, etc.
- Solid understanding of the working principles of Fourier Transform Spectrometers.
- Demonstrated capability in optical system design with familiarity in the characteristics of common optical elements and modules.
- Prior experience in solid substance detection based on infrared spectroscopy is preferred.
- Strong technical documentation and writing skills.
- Excellent communication and learning abilities; sense of responsibility; ability to promptly identify and address work-related issues and anomalies.
- Proactive work attitude with strong teamwork awareness.
