GIS Data Product Manager

Responsibilities
- Lead the design, operations, and continuous iteration of the 'Provincial Single Map' spatiotemporal data product, including defining the product roadmap.
- Explore pathways for data assetization; design business models and pricing strategies for data products to drive monetization.
- Leverage deep understanding of geospatial data characteristics to design features such as data visualization and spatial analysis.
- Engage with government and industry clients to drive the adoption of data products in scenarios such as natural resources, urban planning, and emergency management.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams (GIS R&D, data production, operations) to ensure timely, high-quality product delivery.
- Monitor GIS industry technological advancements and data trading market trends to continuously enhance product competitiveness.
- Track and analyze product operational metrics, optimizing the product based on user feedback.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Geographic Information Science, Surveying and Mapping, Computer Science, or related fields.
- 5+ years of experience in GIS product management, with specific experience in designing spatiotemporal data products.
- Proficiency in mainstream GIS platforms such as ArcGIS and SuperMap; solid understanding of GIS technology stacks and spatial databases.
- Familiarity with geospatial data trading models and industry ecosystems; prior experience in data product commercialization is preferred.
- Strong spatial thinking skills and user experience awareness, with the ability to design high-quality map visualizations.
- Experience in industries such as natural resources, spatial planning, smart cities, or digital twins is a plus.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and project management skills.
